Franklin and Stephens discuss the role of library media specialists and that of the library media center in relationship to computerized reading programs. Among other things, they cite that the attitude of the library media specialist makes or breaks any reading program whether it is computer based or a community reading anitiative.

Dear Ericka-

I think that this article will show the interesting part that a School Librarian plays as an advocate for the AR program. The Librarian plays a large role in book selection and helping students find the appropriate books and materials. This article looks like it will support your topic really well. It will be very interesting to see both sides of this issue.
